The platform is designed to handle real-world scheduling constraints such as teacher availability, subject requirements, class conflicts, teaching workloads, session limits, and school-specific scheduling rules.

Our scheduling engine focuses on producing feasible timetables while reducing unnecessary teacher sessions, timetable gaps, and manual scheduling effort.

Cherry Scheduler is built by Cherry Software, an early-stage Vietnamese EdTech startup focused on school timetable optimization and intelligent scheduling tools.

We build software that reduces the complexity and manual effort involved in creating timetables for teachers and classes.

Optimization-first scheduling

Cherry Scheduler combines constraint-based scheduling and optimization techniques to solve complex school timetable problems.

The scheduling engine evaluates teacher, class, subject, workload and session constraints to generate feasible schedules and improve timetable quality.

In production today: a Rust backend, a Python OR-Tools CP-SAT solver running on Google Cloud Run, and a drag-and-drop web planner. Verified on a school of 75 classes, 125 teachers and about 2,200 lessons per week.

How we build

Cherry Scheduler is developed by a solo founder working with Claude Code, Anthropic's AI coding assistant, to build, test and ship the product and to prepare each school's data from its raw spreadsheets.

Exploring

Next, we are exploring Claude-powered onboarding inside the product: importing school spreadsheets, turning teachers' written requests into scheduling constraints, and explaining in plain language why a timetable is infeasible. These AI features are not part of the product yet.
